Maybe this explains the Shanachies?

Most of us like the Shanachies, the Dutch boys from libraries in the Netherlands who use an Irish word to write a book in the U.S. and tour libraries in the U.S., Europe and Australia (and soon Canada).

Jeremiah Owyang at Forrester may have found out why these Dutch boys are so social!

Dutch Fond Of Social Technologies, But Why?

"Social Technographics reveal that 39% of Dutch adopt social network technologies (joiner behavior) which is more than twice that of the European average of 18%."

Of course, Toronto is much the same.
