MS Encarta Heads for Deadpool
Who would have thunk it?
I might have thought that Wikipedia would be brought up on attempted homocide charges for trying to off Encyclopedia Britannica. It appears that it has actually arranged the contract killing of Microsoft Encarta on Oct. 31, 2009.
And no, this isn't an April Fool's.
"Wikipedia boasts 2.7 million entries in English versus just 42,000 for Encarta."
I seem to remember that EB has about 700,000 or so.
