Browser Share

Here's an interesting chart of the browsers that cNet sees coming to its site.

The growth of Chrome is wirth a comment.

I also know that when I see the difference between regular end user browser use of library websites and the browsers that library staff use when coming to our SirsiDynix sites that there is a big difference.

I often ask myself if we libray folks have a good idea of what the home zset up looks like. Some of our folks are such zealots about one browser, or being anti-MS that there is sometimes a disregard for the average.

Here's something more normal...

I recall when screen resolution was a big issue and libraries' websites were not as good when they tried to be all things to all people. I wonder if this browser puzzle will sort itself out quickly?

Will dogma replace an end-user focus? Will we expect the average end user to replace or reinstall a preferred browser?
