Managing GenY

From CIO Magazine:

In Defense of Gen Y Workers

Spoiled? Entitled? Forget it. Generation Y employees simply know what they want, know what works, and won't settle for anything less from the companies and managers for whom they work.

Love it.

When it comes to being native speakers in the land of technology, Gen Y has an edge on the "old folks" who are technological immigrants. Unfortunately, that one nugget of insight was buried in a slurry of self-congratulation. Sure, old people are out of it and the new generation is going to change the world... just like every other generation before them. And if they seem a bit self centered, it's not their fault. After all, they were raised by boomers. ;)
